It is a sad day for the club today, as Strollers stalwart Steve 'The Sloth' Brine, played his last session at the club. Defib Tournament 2026 Our 50s couldn’t emulate the exploits of the 60s by winning a trophy today but we had fun. We were up in sunny (sometimes) Cleethorpes for the Defib Tournament - organised by Dave Bent to raise money to purchase and distribute portable defibrillators. We lost our first game 2-0 after a disastrous start against a strong side. We were very disjointed but sorted things out considerably in the second game which we won 3-0 against Appleby Frodingham. Spring National Championships On Saturday a mixed 40s and 50s Strollers side took on a strong field in the 40s category, facing five high-quality teams over a demanding schedule at the impressive David Ross Sports Village at Nottingham University. The tournament began with a statement win against Wotton WFC. Despite conceding inside two minutes, the Strollers responded superbly—dominating possession and tempo.
