PDFL Championship Winners
The final day of the season. For the Social experiment in League One, another two games, and another new combination of players. They started off by doubling their points total for the season in a 3-3 draw with Hampton Utd. A returning Phil Hall galvanised the guys and proved influential in both games. An hour later there was a narrow 1-0 loss to Harborough Hornets Green who finished runners-up. Jason Fullman returned to competitive action (in goal) just 10 weeks after a knee

Strollers 60+ fall one point short
Going into the last matchday of the league, our Strollers 60+ squad needed three wins to pip Boston to the Lincolnshire Premiership title. Sadly, with two wins and one loss we fell a point short, and Boston lifted the trophy. A great effort from our lads to grab the runners up spot and we look forward to building on this next season. Match report to follow later.

PDFL MD8 26/4

This month saw Martin Kernan playing in goal after several good showings at recent social sessions. Martin was my man of the match against Harborough after a string of top saves kept the score to 0-1 at half time. Top of the division Harborough were rattled: arguing among themselves and the referee. The second half began with an early

PDFL Matchday 7
In League One, Strollers Social had the unenviable task of competing in their first game with a player less thanks to me stealing Jon Steers to play in the Championship. The result was an 8-0 defeat. They also started their second game short but their opponents, Huntingdon, very sportingly withdrew a player until they could go to full strength. Some crucial saves from stand-in ‘keeper Chris Sweeney meant there was only a goal in it at half time but Huntingdon eventually overp

PDFL Matchday 5
PDFL Matchday 5 In the Championship, Strollers faced Oundle Town ans Boston Utd on a cold damp morning. Thank you to Oundle for joining in our moment of remembrance. However, we went on to trounce them 4-0 with Nigel Reeve netting all four goals. It took Oundle quite some time to enter our half, such was our dominance. It was a different story in the next game with a very strong Boston side. We were the ones struggling to get a foothold in the game. A harsh blue card for Nige
