Stamford Strollers remain unbeaten in the PDFL Championship after matchday 2. Our first game was against Hampton United who had just played their first game of the day. Their extra warm up showed as Strollers struggled to get any possession in the opening 5 minutes. Nevertheless we took the lead when Nigel Reeve scored from a routine corner. While Strollers Ladies were galavanting around Northamptonshire, I took a 50’s squad over to Leverington’s first charity tournament. Stamford Strollers Women visited West Glebe Astro turf, Corby on Sunday playing 3 games at 15 minutes a game. Match 1: Corby started very well and passed the ball with ease. They had a few chances on goal which were either saved or just wide. ( D0-0 ) Match 2: In the second game Corby we’re still on top and scored 2 goals.
