Walking Football the Winner

Away from the hustle and bustle of competition football, 32 players enjoyed an entertaining friendly round robin at Elsea Park today.

Two teams from Boston and two from Stamford made up of a team of 70+ and a team of 50+ recreational/social players from each club, went head to head in a mini round-robin league.

In a highly enjoyable event, played in true walking football spirit with camaraderie the main course, walking football was the real winner.

Of course, despite being a friendly event, everyone hoped to be on the winning team but even so, the game was played fairly and with respect to opponents, both by the Stamford players and the Boston squads.

Post match we continued the social side by enjoying some sandwiches, wraps and hot drinks in the club house. An excellent few hours of walking football and chat.

As a matter of record I have listed the scores below, but the day was more about getting out on the pitch, meeting up with old friends and making new ones.
