WFA Cup 65+ 3rd Round Boston 0-3 Stamford
Stamford got off to a great start when Will Barrett’s shot went through the keeper for a 1-0 lead. With a strong wind behind them Stamford were well on top but Boston were proving difficult to break down. With the last kick of the half Gerry Monaghan doubled Strollers lead for a 2-0 half time lead.
Boston threw everything at Stamford at the start of the 2nd half but Strollers held firm with Bill Whittle rarely troubled in goal. As the half wore on Stamford took back control and Gerry M scored an excellent 3rd goal turning his man and rifling a shot into the bottom corner to kill the game.
Stamford comfortably saw out the game playing possession football for a 3-0 win.
