The squad for MD4 @ Clee Fields Grimsby was:
Dave Moore
Iain Ross
Paul Humphries
Alan Cook
Jez Norris
Tim Marsden Cap

Unfortunately, Taff Lovesey and Steve Bones had to withdraw from the squad with injury.
Game 1 Strollers 2 Lincoln Invictus 0
Strollers dominated possession in this one and created a number of goal scoring opportunities with the Lincoln keeper making a string of good saves. However, the Lincoln goalie could do nothing when Alan Cook latched onto a pass from Tim Marsden to side step his marker and clinically finish into the corner to give Strollers a 1-0 lead at half time. Second half Cook turned provider to set up Jez Norris who left his marker for dead and gave the keeper no chance with a fierce drive.
Game 2 Strollers 1 Boston 0
Strollers V Boston games are usually tight affairs and this one was no different. Both Strollers’ goalie Dave Moore and the Boston keeper were called into action a number of times to keep the scores 0-0 at half time. Paul Humphries broke the deadlock early in the second half, receiving a pass from Marsden Humphries side-stepped his marker and lashed a left footed drive beyond the Boston keeper to give Strollers a hard earned victory.
Game 3 Strollers 0 Grimsby Corinthians 0
Both goal keepers were in fine form to keep this game goalless. In the first half Moore, in the Strollers’ goal, showed great reactions to tip a vicious close range volley onto the bar. Second half Strollers pressed for a winner, but Grimsby held firm and almost caught Strollers on the break.
Overall the Over 60s played some of their best football of the season and now sit in second place in the league 7 points behind Boston with 3 games to play. Special shout out for Iain Ross who cruised through the 3 games hours before he jets off to Lithuania to represent the IWFF England Over 60s.
