A really good performance saw Strollers win through to the semi final with a 6-0 win. Bedworth started the day in 2nd place in the Birmingham Over 63s League top division but they couldn’t handle Strollers in this form.
Stamford were soon on their game and blitzed their opponents with 3 goals in the opening 15 minutes. Gerry Monaghan and Dave Guest proved a deadly striking partnership being well supported by John Hutchins, John Phythian and David Kelby all of whom helped create the openings in midfield. A 4th goal was added before the interval.HT 4-0.
Bedworth threw everything at Strollers in the opening 10 minutes of the 2nd half but with Graham Curry and Bill Whittle in commanding form Stamford kept them at bay before finishing strongly with 2 more goals. Full time 6-0.

So on to the semi final where we have been drawn against tournament favourites Solihull Moors Walkers.
