Premiership

  • Dave Moore

  • Tim Marsden

  • Taff Lovesey

  • Al Cook

  • Paul Humphries

  • Jez Norris

  • Paul Beard

Strollers A 1:1 Grimsby Ancient Mariners (Humphries) Strollers fell behind from a scuffed shot that went through Lovesey's legs and wrong footed Moore in goal to bounce off the inside of the post. Strollers got a deserved equaliser from a thunderbolt of a strike from Humphries. Strollers A 1:1 Long Bennington (Cook) Sloppy work in midfield gifted the ball to Long Bennington and they broke quickly and took the lead with a well taken shot. As in the first came, Strollers came back strongly and Cook equalised with a shimmy to the side followed by a well struck shot. Strollers A 1:1 Boston (Humphries)

As ever a tight affair with Boston. Humphries opened the scoring but was helped by a strong deflection which wrong footed Tempest the Boston keeper. Chances were rare and the game very tight after that but Moore was called in action a few times to keep use ahead. As the clock ticked down an unfortunate step into area by a Stroller defender resulted in a Boston equaliser with about a minute remaining in the game.

  • Col Murrant

  • Tim Marsden

  • Peter Beyer

  • Phil Hall

  • John Phythian

  • Colin Barrett

  • Alf Tapscott

Strollers B 2:5 Skegness (Barrett x 2) Skegness raced into a 3 goal lead by half time, literally. Went to 2,2,1 second half and got back into the game with 2 well taken Barrett goals. Unfortunately Skegness restored parity as they broke with pace to win 5 or was it 4 - 2

Strollers B 1:1 Grimsby Corinthians Red (Marsden) Grimsby were a very physical team and the game became quite scrappy. Marsden gave Strollers the lead following a lay off from Barrett. Grimsby managed to equalise second half. Ref commented ‘worst game of wf he had refereed’.

Strollers B 0:1 Sleaford

Typically Strollers best performance of the day as we were able to keep Sleaford at bay for long periods. Unfortunately a misplaced pass set up Sleaford to grab a 1 -0 win.
