ASHA Healthcare Midland 65+ League Matchday 6 Derby Racecourse

Strollers 0:0 Oakham

In a game that was completely wrecked by some over zealous refereeing, neither team could get any pattern of play going as the whistle was being blown so often. Strollers had the better of the possession and chances however, but the Oakham keeper was easily the man of the match with a string of excellent saves. Unsurprisingly given the disjointed flow of the game, the final result ended 0-0.

Strollers 1:2 Hucknall (Marsden pen)

This was a big game for these two clubs with both trying to get out of the bottom three in the table. With both teams looking to win, the game was fairly open and proved to be a tight match. Hucknall opened the scoring and with the Strollers trying to get back into it, furthered their lead with a second. A penalty awareded against Hucknall, calmly slotted home by Tim Marsden gave us hope of a recovery, but the equaliser just wasn’t forthcoming despite the squad's efforts.
