WFA Midlands 65+ League Game Day 5

Match 1 Stamford 0 Oakham 0

A very even game, both sides had opportunities to score but neither side managed to produce a good enough shot on target to beat the keeper.

Stamford played a very disciplined game, keeping a good shape and worked very hard. The result was a well deserved draw against the side that later beat Bramcote 3-1 to become champions with one lot of matches still to play.

Match 2 Boston 4 Stamford 0

A well deserved victory for Boston. A very tight game in the first half with Boston taking the lead just before half time. Boston dominated the second half and scored 3 goals.

Excellent refereeing by Malcom MacKenzie in both matches.
