The Over 50s B team squad, below, showed more changes again with Blakemore moving up to the A team, Lovesey and Fisher unavailable:

First up for the B team were Harborough Hornets. Strollers struggled to deal with a powerful Harborough team and trailed 3 – 0 at half time. Second half Stamford rallied and scored two goals through Steve Kelly and Jason Fullman, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 4 – 2 defeat.

Next up for Strollers were Hampton Blues, currently top of the league. Undaunted Strollers battled hard to earn a 0 – 0 draw, and were indebted more than once to Trevor Oliver’s heroics in goal.

Overall Strollers showed more signs of being able to cope with the better teams in the league.
