Lincs FA 60+ Championship MD3 20/12/23

Despite the frustration of having two of our three matchday opponents pull out, our 60+ B squad travelled to Holbeach to fulfil the only remaining fixture against Gainsborough.

In a tight game neither side could break the other down, and on the few times they did, both goalkeepers stepped up to keep clean sheets. Final Score Stamford B 0 Gainsborough 0

So 7 points gained on the day, but not the way we’d have preferred to receive them, being awarded two 3-0 wins for the two teams that pulled out. This has improved our league position however and we are well placed given we have three games in hand over most of the other teams.

My thanks, as manager, to the players that travelled all the way to Holbeach so close to the holiday break to play in one game. No player moaned and all just got on with the job and shared the pitch time we had amongst the players.
