We are pleased to announce that our Stamford Strollers 64+ team captain, Chris Keirl has been appointed as the new WFA England manager for the 65+ age group.
This is well deserved recognition for Chris who has been instrumental in helping walking football develop in our region.

Started playing Walking Football in 2014 joining what is now Nottingham Bramcote.
Became Club Secretary and team manager in 2015 and led the side to the Derbyshire League Cup in 2016 and the Derbyshire League title in 2017.
In 2016 led his team to the EFL National Final losing to Blackpool on pens.
2017 saw the team come 3rd in the WFA National Finals
Oct 2017 appointed England Asst Manager Over 60s.
March 2018 England Over 60s beat Italy 3-0 at Brighton Amex Stadium in the 1st WF international.
June 2018 stood down from England role for personal reasons.
2018 saw his over 70s team reach the WFA National Cup Final losing to Portsmouth on pens.
2018-19 he set up the Midlands Premier Over 60s and Over 65s Leagues.
2019 he captained Nottingham Bramcote to the Midlands Premier Over 60s League and Cup double and was player manager of the winners of the National One Tournament at St George’s Park.
Dec 2019 joined Stamford Strollers.
2020 captain of the Nottingham Bramcote team leading the Midlands Premier League with 2 matches to play when lockdown came.
Chosen to captain Stamford Strollers Over 64s league squad for 2020.
July 2020 Appointed England Manager for the Over 65s.
