Midlands 65+ League - Final Matchday

Steve Brine (gk), Trevor Oliver, Bob Lear, Brian Dunkerley, Martin Donnelly, Peter Crane, Tony Laughton, Ian Cooke

A good first match v Bramcote. Very even game, chance at both ends to score throughout the game. Bramcote took the league just before half time. Deservedly early in the second half Martin Donnelly equalised. Final result a draw which was a fair result for both sides.

Stamford Strollers 1-1 Bramcote

In the second match a strong Kimberley side were too good for Stamford. The Kimberley players were given far too much room to move forward with the ball and scored two goals far too easily and then for a deflected goal so they were 3-0 at half time. A tighter game in the second half from Stamford stopped Kimberley from scoring any more goals.

Stamford Strollers 0 Kimberley 3

Despite some good results we finished up in the wooden spoon position in the league. Kudos to our gusy though who battled hard every game.
